The MetPak Pro Base Station features an on-board barometric pressure sensor and Rotronic Hygroclip temperature/humidity probe. A Pt100 temperature sensor, tipping bucket Rain Gauge (available from Gill) and two analogue sensors (water level sensor, pyranometer, pressure sensor, soil temperature sensor etc) can also be connected directly to the Base station or via an optional junction box.
This variant of the MetPak Pro features the same on-board sensors as the Base Station, with an integrated WindSonic ultrasonic wind sensor for high accuracy wind speed and direction measurement. This unit also features inputs for up to four external measurement devices including Gill's precision tipping bucket Rain Gauge.
For users who require a remotely mounted wind sensor or who have more specialist wind sensing requirements, MetPak Pro can also be specified with one of Gill's range of 2-axis or 3-axis ultrasonic wind sensors.
The selected sensor is mounted remotely, up to 10m away from the Base Station typically on a mast or tower.

The MetPak Pro weather station is provided with MetSet configuration software and MetView display software:
MetView is supplied free of charge with the MetPak Pro, offering a clear, intuitive display of the current weather conditions.
MetView will not only show data provided by the MetPak Pro (Temperature, Humidity, Dew Point, Pressure, Wind Speed and Wind direction) but can be expanded to display data from other sensors connected to the system.
MetSet is a free software package that allows the user to configure the output and display data provided by the MetPak Pro.
The simple interface features a range of drop-down selection boxes, providing the ability to enable or disable existing sensors and adjust output rates. MetSet also allows the user to add additional sensors to the MetPak Pro, with full control over the sensor ID, units of measure and range.
